His contributions to cybersecurity are extensive-- with over one dozen published books, multiple patents, and frequent keynote speaking engagements at high-profile events such as Capitol Hill briefings, RSA, Black Hat ,and appearances on SquawkBox, Bloomberg, FOX, and MSNBC. Earlier in his career, Foster demonstrated his entrepreneurial acumen as CEO of Ciphent, where he grew the company to more than 1000 clients, including 43 of the Fortune 100, and achieved recognition as the fastest growing cybersecurity organization in the United States by Inc. Magazine from 2006 to 2010. Ciphent's success led to its merger with Accuvant, where Foster continued to drive significant growth where the organization doubled in size in under two years achieving nearly $500M in sales. Foster has also held pivotal roles at leading organizations such as Accuvant (now Optiv), Foundstone (acquired by McAfee), Guardent (acquired by Verisign), Information Security Magazine (acquired by TechTarget), and the US Department of Defense in Fort Meade. His breadth of experience across these organizations underscores his ability to drive innovation and growth in the cybersecurity sector.
