Dr. Neil Daswani is a CISO-in-Residence at Firebolt Ventures and the Co-Academic Director of Stanford’s Advanced Cybersecurity Program. Formerly the CISO at Symantec's Consumer Business Unit, LifeLock, and QuantumScape, he has also led security initiatives and cutting-edge research at Twitter/X, Google, and Stanford. He advises multiple VC funds and co-authored "Big Breaches" and "Foundations of Security". Neil holds over a dozen patents, has published extensively, and speaks frequently at top industry events. He earned his PhD and MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a BS with honors from Columbia University.
