Thomas Hemker is a Field CISO Advisor at ESET Corporate Solutions, where he advises customer organizations on the implementation of tailored cybersecurity solutions. Prior to joining ESET, he was responsible for the Threat Intelligence Service and facilitation of the Advisory Board of DCSO (Deutsche Cyber-Sicherheitsorganisation GmbH). He has worked in the fields of IT, information security, and cybersecurity for more than 30 years. He held positions in the EMEA CTO Office at Symantec and as Field Engineering Manager at PGP Corporation. Throughout his career, he has served as a security expert and technology advisor across various industries. As a speaker, author, and lecturer in cybersecurity at a university of applied sciences, he actively contributes to knowledge sharing and the professional cybersecurity community. He also participates in industry associations and standards bodies, including TeleTrusT, ITU-T, ISACA working groups, and the BSI Expertcircle, where he contributes to cybersecurity and standardization initiatives. Thomas is a founding member of the German (ISC)² Chapter and has served as a member of both the ENISA Threat Landscape Stakeholder Group and the Information Security Forum (ISF) Advisory Council.
