Paul Pols is CTO at Bureau Veritas Cybersecurity Europe, where he leads offensive and defensive security operations across the European market. He is the creator of the Unified Kill Chain, a threat model used by organizations worldwide to understand and defend against end-to-end cyber attacks. He also teaches at Leiden University, where he helps future security professionals understand advanced threats, threat modeling and the practical realities of defending against sophisticated adversaries. Paul has more than 15 years of experience translating complex technical risk into decisions that work in board rooms, security teams and operational environments. His background combines cybersecurity, Dutch law and applied ethics, including earlier work as an ethical hacker supervising national security operations under strict legal and ethical criteria.
