Kevin Kumpf has more than 20 years of IT and OT security and governance/compliance experience working in sectors such as energy, communications, DIBS, transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, financial, and others. Past roles have included Director of OT Security (Iberdrola N.A.) where he oversaw the security and regulatory compliance programs for multiple operating companies including NYSEG, RGE, and CMP. He was also the Principal Security and Regulatory Lead for interactions with the NY and NE ISO’s, NERC, ISAC’s as well as other state and federal entities. Kevin also oversaw the design and deployment of the security infrastructure for OMS, EMS, NMS and AMI platforms. He has also worked as a vendor/consultant at manufacturing, energy and cloud service providers building their threat and vulnerability programs as well as leading incident response efforts during various cyber incidents. Kevin has also worked as a true problem solver at some of the top vendors in the OT threat detection /mitigation space and several IT cloud service providers where he helped define product strategy, lead vision to meet challenging customer safety and security needs as well address regulatory, compliance and strategic vision challenges. Today Kevin works as the chief consultant leading the GTM vision for an emerging Zero Persistence Cyber-Physical Platform vendor within the OT/ICS realm.
