About

Jasper Wognum studied AI at the University of Amsterdam in 1995, back when it was still mostly a theory. It took two more decades for the technology to catch up. In 2016 he co-founded BrainCreators, a Dutch computer vision company that spent nearly ten years automating inspection work in mobility, infrastructure, and security. In 2024 he moved his focus to AI Salon, a global community he now leads as CEO. 75 chapters, 40,000+ members, one goal: give AI founders better access to each other and to capital, through human connection rather than algorithmic matchmaking. He's not a coder, security expert, or policy expert. He's someone who's been thinking about what AI does to people since before it was a conference topic.
