Justin Somaini is a Chief Security Officer and Venture Capitalist with over 30 years of experience in cybersecurity. He's help recent positions as a Partner at YL Ventures and previously held the role of CSO at Unity Technologies (2019–2024).

Executive Roles: Somaini has served as CSO or CISO at major technology firms including SAP (2016–2019), Box (Chief Trust Officer, 2013–2015), Yahoo! (CISO, 2011–2013), and Symantec (CISO, 2008–2011). 

Advisory & Board Positions: He holds or has held advisory and board roles at companies such as Malwarebytes, NowSecure, Orca Security, DoControl, and SourceClear. 

Investing: An active angel investor, he has invested in cybersecurity firms like Cycode, Stackrox, and Minimus. 

Education & Early Career: Somaini holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems from Drexel University and began his career as a security auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

He is also the host of the "Somaini's Trust Issues" podcast and is known for his work in integrating security into business strategy and product innovation.
