## About

Filip Mazán is Senior Manager of Advanced Threat Detection & AI Research at ESET, where he leads research and engineering teams focused on applying artificial intelligence to cyberthreat detection and automated threat hunting. Since joining ESET in 2013 as a malware analyst, he has worked across malware research, software engineering, and AI security research, contributing to the adoption of deep learning, generative AI, and agentic AI workflows within cybersecurity operations. His current work focuses on LLM-assisted malware analysis and large-scale telemetry-driven detection systems.

He has contributed to the analysis and disruption of major botnets, including Dorkbot and Gamarue, and regularly presents at international cybersecurity events, including RSA Conference and ESET World.

Outside of cybersecurity, he enjoys cooking, gardening, and home automation.
