## About

Erez Yalon is VP of Security Research at Pentera, an Automated Security Validation (ASV) company, where he leads offensive security research focused on validating real-world security posture against the techniques attackers actually use. He previously led security research at Checkmarx, overseeing a team of analysts, penetration testers, security engineers, and bug bounty hunters.

Erez founded DEF CON's AppSec Village and co-leads the OWASP API Security Project. He is a regular speaker at RSAC, Black Hat, and DEF CON, and his research and commentary have appeared in Fortune, Forbes, Wired, TechCrunch, and Dark Reading.
